Details: The Cougar has a 289 original engine that needs to be replaced or rebuilt. It was ran without oil. I do not know what was damaged in the engine. Also the passenger side front shock tower has a crack in it and needs to be replaced. I have a replacement shock tower and support braces. The 67 and 68 Cougars are known for issues with the towers. Its a common problem that Mercury fixed in 69 with braces.THAT IS ALL THAT IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR!! This car has had 3 owners since 1968. It was always garage kept., Original paint that still shines, the interior is gorgeous. This is a beautiful car in awesome condition. All numbers match. 4 barrell carb and after market intake.I could go on and on. Look at the pics. Notice the crack in shock tower. Again i have a replacement tower. Remember it needs an engine. Everything else works on the vehicle. Yup the hideaway headlights, sequential turn signals, windshield wipers...LOL. Details: For sale is a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis with a 4.6L V8 in good condition with 108,XXX miles. I´m helping my friend sell this car, so I can help with most questions about it, but I´ll forward anything I don´t know to her. I have personally driven the car and it drives very well cruises smooth, shifts well, and stops straight and only has a few minor cosmetic issues. The most noticeable being the leather on the front seats have some damage(which you can see in the pictures), but throw on a decent set of covers and you won´t know the difference. Other than that the exterior has minor scratches here and there but no fading or peeling. Non-smoker car. It has a clear title and registration is good until June 2012.
