Details: Time to sell my early muscle car convertible. This 1964 Mercury is a true SURVIVOR that is a joy to drive. The car is completely original, from the medium blue paint and interior to the white vinyl convertible top! Yes, it is true - this Merc has always been garaged and it shows. With only 80,000 original miles, the 390 V8 runs strong and all systems operate as they should. Optioned well from the factory, this Monterey has power brakes and steering as well as a power top. The transmission is a three speed automatic. Factory original dual exhaust. The original radio is still in the dash and an aftermarket Pioneer stereo is mounted below the dash for good sound. Recent servicing includes new Goodyear radial T/As as well as new drum brakes all around!The body is straight with no rust. The original paint is not perfect but in very nice condition. There have been some minor touch-ups to the paint over the years. The chrome and stainless trim are rust free and in generally very good condition. As stated before, the soft top is original and in great shape for 48 years of age. The rear window is factory GLASS and zips down when the top is dropped. This is the 25th Anniversary edition for Mercury as indicated by the badge in the center of the original steering wheel. This is a VERY RARE model with only 2,592 made in 1964! You can see it a bit in the first picture. No rust. Interior is in good shape too. Minor dirt stains on the seats (we used it for backpacking & camping) with some wear on the black paint on the dash. Stereo works great. One missing wheel that controls opening/closing the vent on the drivers side of the center console, but it is at least open, not sure what happened to it, but I think it fell inside the dash area. Car has about 189,000 miles on it. New brakes & rotors front & rear. AWD. Full tune up done in January. Car is in overall great working condition. Transmission every once in a while has an issue, and the check engine light comes on, but not on now. It´ll probably need transmission work sometime. We got a vehicle to replace it that gets better mpg. Freeway driving we´ve got about 22mpg on trips, city streets averages around 17mpg. Seats are comfy on long trips. There is a 3rd row seats in the back. This car is great for hauling all sorts of stuff. We´ve fit exercise equipment, full size washer AND dryer (at the same time... with the back closed) and furniture that we never thought would fit. Details: Classic 1983 Mercury Capri GSI´m selling my compact Capri with about 62,000 original miles on it. It has maroon red interior that is like brand new and has never been smoked in since I bought it. The car has only had 2 owners including myself. When I bought the car it had been sitting for about 2 years, since I got it up and running again it´s been running great but could probably use a nice tune up (pistons, spark plugs, etc.) I had changed the oil and emptied the gas tank since it was sitting. The tires have great tred on them with original hubcaps, a key to get them off, as well as the original spare tire and jack. The paint is all original and hardly has any scratches. It has a 13 gallon tank with v6 engine. Radio works great, as well as all the windows. The truck latch needs adjusting and the heater core has never been hooked up since I bought It.
