Details: I have a 1960 4 door Comet that needs a new home. It is unbranded as the first production run of these were slated to be Edsels. Edsel was axed before they came out so they were sold un-branded at Mercury dealers. Later models were branded as Mercurys. It has a 200 CI straight six in it which is a bit newer than the car and has a new carb on it. It also has a 3 speed automatic from a mid-seventies mustang. A small block V8 would be an easy drop in! It´s got bucket seats in it and alloy wheels but I have the original bench seat, wheels, and the original hubcaps. The car has some dents but can easily be restored. The front driver´s side door is damaged but I have a spare for it. The windshield is bad as well but, again, I have a spare un-damaged windshield ready to be put in. Both of the cross hairs hood ornaments are broken but I have spares of those too. The tires that are on it should be OK as well.It starts but runs a bit rough so a tune up is needed. It was my daily driver when I was in high school but has been parked since the mid 90´s. Everything worked when it was parked but now the transmission doesn´t want to move it so I think it needs to be drained and have the filter changed. It´s currently in Roscoe. I have a clean and clear title for it.
